Downtown Commercial Repipe & Expansion Tank

Downtown Commercial Repipe & Expansion Tank, Downtown Las Vegas, NV

An older mixed-use building in Downtown Las Vegas had recurring pinhole leaks in its domestic water risers and pressure spikes that kept damaging fixtures in the upper suites.

We replaced the main risers with new copper, added isolation valves for each floor and installed a large thermal expansion tank and pressure regulation at the building entry.

Project Challenges

Tenants needed water during business hours, and the risers ran through finished ceilings and a busy corridor.

Result: Since the new risers and pressure controls went in, the building has had no further pinhole leaks and fixture failures on the upper floors have stopped. Maintenance staff can now shut off a single floor for work without affecting tenants elsewhere.
