Henderson Apartment Boiler Room Retrofit

Henderson Apartment Boiler Room Retrofit, Henderson, NV

This Henderson apartment building relied on an aging boiler plant that struggled to keep up with morning hot water demand. Residents complained about lukewarm showers and the owner was tired of emergency repairs.

We removed the old equipment, prepared the room and installed a cascade of high-efficiency wall-hung boilers, two indirect storage tanks, new circulators and copper headers with full isolation for each boiler.

Project Challenges

Residents could only be without hot water for a short window, and the new equipment had to fit in the existing room footprint.

Project Solutions

We pre-fabricated much of the copper header off site, which cut the shut-down to a single day.

Cascade Boiler Plant

Multiple boilers share the load and stage on as demand rises, improving efficiency and redundancy.

Indirect Hot Water Storage

Two storage tanks handle the morning peak without running out.

Isolation & Serviceability

Each boiler can be serviced while the others keep running.

Result: Residents now have steady hot water during the morning peak, and the owner has redundancy: if one boiler needs service, the others carry the load. Gas use dropped noticeably after the switch from the old atmospheric equipment.
